I would like to ask everyone: our factory’s pressure transmitters come with process interfaces that can be connected in different ways, including via an M20*1.5 connection. What are the differences between these two design options? What are their respective advantages and disadvantages?

The M20*1.5 seal is sealed using a small PTFE gasket (we usually use 18*8*3 PTFE gaskets); wrapping something around it is of no use. The tapered thread of the NPT can be fitted with a collar. Flange pressure tapping is generally used for media that are viscous and prone to crystallization.
For the one with threads, they didn’t even install a valve assembly
