I would like to ask the experts: the cable specification provided by the designer for the connection from the instrument to the junction box is 1X2X0.75+0.75 mm2. What does this additional 0.75 refer to? Is it a shielding wire? Isn’t the shielding the copper mesh on the outside? I remember that when I was at the site, I saw that each set in the multi-core cable contained three wires: two of the same thickness, and one black one that was thinner. Please explain

To be honest, I haven’t seen a design like this in such a long time. Is there a wiring diagram available so I can understand the intention behind it?
Let me put it this way: if that design institute isn’t an authoritative one, then it can only mean that the designs it produces are of poor quality.
The cable models mentioned by the poster are incomplete; it’s not clear whether they are power cables or computer cables. Based on the models, all three wires should be 0.75 square millimeters in diameter – so how is it that one of them is thinner?
I asked, and it seems that the last wire serves a shielding purpose; it functions similarly to a copper mesh, representing another form of shielding.
I thought about it, and the third wire that was seen on site must have been made by twisting copper mesh into strands and then covering them with a tube that contracts when heated. It’s just a guess.
Back to the fourth floor; this cable model was provided by an Australian design company that ranks among the top 50 in the world.
