I work for a chemical company, and we have many magnetic flap level gauges in use – some of them come with remote transmission capabilities while others do not. Recently, we have been working on establishing a quality management system, and many customers have come for inspections; they all mentioned that the magnetic flap level gauges need to be regularly calibrated, maintained, and serviced. But what exactly is there that needs to be calibrated about these devices? It’s not like pressure transmitters or flow meters, whose parameters can be adjusted; as long as there are no quality issues with this device, it will remain the same for years – either it works well or it breaks down. If any companies do this, what kinds of checks and maintenance should be carried out?

Calibrate the magnet regularly, or move the float a few positions – just create a file of your own to make things seem proper: lol
Our magnetic flap level gauges generally require very little maintenance; basically, when the indication of the magnetic flaps is inaccurate, a magnet is used to correct it
Check whether the float inside is leaking, whether the float rotates smoothly, and drain waste water regularly.
