Dandong Tongbo float level gauge: sudden drop in liquid level

The liquid level is normally at full level, but then it fluctuates and drops; when I go to the site, it shows that the level is below the minimum threshold. The weight rod feels very light, and after moving it back and forth a few times, the liquid level starts to rise again! What could be the cause of this? I’d appreciate some advice!
The liquid level rises to such an extent that the float is completely submerged in the liquid; as a result, it loses its ability to perform measurements. If this is not detected in time, or if the float gives incorrect readings leading to improper operations, it is very likely that an accident involving flooding of the tower will occur. In such cases, the only option is to increase the flow rate at the outlet in order to lower the liquid level quickly and allow the float to function properly again. To determine whether the float ball has been submerged, lift the weight rod attached to it – it will feel very light, as if the float ball has fallen off; moreover, the rod will remain in the same position wherever the float ball is.
The level gauges located above and below this float also show 100% as the liquid level covers them, but only this one displays the lowest value! It was later found that the flow of material in and out through the pipes next to the float might be causing this issue.
