As the title suggests: Is it necessary to install a vent valve on safety-rated junction boxes, and are there any regulatory requirements?
Since the temperature inside the box varies greatly, it is best to install a breathing valve. For example, electrical panels (which contain electrical heating elements that turn on and off), or large temperature differences between day and night in certain areas (such as the Middle East). For plain junction boxes, it is not necessary to install them; there are no standards to follow, and it depends on the user’s habits and experience.
