I have a gentle question: On-site, a Rosemount double-flange diaphragm level gauge is being used to measure the level of liquid in a heat exchanger. The range of this gauge is 1.6 meters, but it’s set to measure values in mmH2O. How should these two units be related to each other? I don’t know how to convert between meters and mmH2O. Please ask an expert for help

1. If the 1.6m mentioned by the poster refers to the transmitter’s range converted to mmH2O, then 1600 mmH2O can be used directly. The unit can be converted directly inside the transmitter. 2. If the flange spacing is 1.6 m, then the transmitter range = 1600*ρ_heat/ρ_water, with ρ_water taken as 1.
Can I understand it as 1m being equal to 1000mmH2O? Just the unit conversion
This is just one of the units used to measure pressure; it doesn’t have to be MMH2O – KPA can also be used. If MMH2O is used as the unit, then 1000 mmH2O corresponds to 1 meter, assuming the medium is water
What is the medium density? If it is water, 1.6 meters = 1600 mmH2O; if the density is different, a calculation is required using the formula P=ρgh.
Do you know what mmh2o means? It’s the pressure of 1 mm of water; so how many mmH2O is that of 1.6 meters of water?
