The level measurement for the sludge slurry funnel in the wastewater treatment plant at my company is carried out using a capacitive E+H multicap dc 11 sensor along with an integrated transmitter EC61Z, which outputs a signal of 0-10VDC to the PLC. After problems arose with these instruments, I tried to order similar models from the same brand, but the supplier said that this model has been discontinued. The depth of this sludge funnel is about one meter. Guys, how should I choose a gauge? Thank you in advance. . . .

Secondly, I admit that I am a salesperson, but my work involves level measurement; I remained within the scope of my responsibilities. I simply shared the knowledge and information I have, as different working conditions require different measuring devices. With the same medium, different processing methods lead to different measurement approaches. Once again, I’m not here on the forum to sell anything; I’m here with the intention of learning and exchanging ideas, in order to improve my knowledge level. Of course, it would be better if there were actual results. I’m just stating the basic reality of the domestic market in our level measurement industry; without delving deep into or entering a particular field, one cannot know the true ins and outs of that industry.

However, with radio frequency admittance, there are serious inaccuracies when measuring levels, scaling is difficult to remove, and the device can even get damaged. These days, for measuring the level of drilling mud or of concrete and cement mortar that tends to solidify, people no longer use radio frequency admittance. What’s popular now are level gauges that use gas-collecting pressure-sensing diaphragms that are not in contact with the liquid; there are types that are inserted, types that are submerged, and types that can be used in either manner – the insertion rod can be replaced, connected, or removed, allowing its length to be adjusted according to the depth of the tank or the site conditions, so you can use whatever length is needed! Take it wherever you want!

RF admittance and capacitive level gauges have the same measurement principle, but they are not the same thing. It is highly shameful that many people in China sell capacitive level gauges as radio frequency admittance meters; it is also a form of deception that harms both others and themselves, and it only leads to a decreasing demand for such products. Secondly, radio frequency admittance is suitable for applications where scaling is a concern, which is also what distinguishes it from capacitive level gauges. But the dielectric constants of the media must differ significantly. Radio frequency admittance is highly advantageous for measuring interfaces, and it’s even more suitable for measuring mud level. We have achieved significant results in Inner Mongolia, applying our products in the coal chemical industry, where operating conditions are more complex and severe than those in mud applications, yet our products function without any problems in such environments.
Don’t you think the words you used in your reply are quite striking? RF admittance can be used to measure capacitance values; our RF admittance can reach over 40,000 uF, while in China the typical value is around 3,000 uF. Secondly, the RF admittance can reach a range of over 20 meters; can any companies in China achieve that? Is it possible? That’s the difference. . . . .
