The remote transmission magnetic flap level gauge is a commonly used type of level gauge, widely applied in industries such as power generation, petroleum, chemicals, metallurgy, and environmental protection, for detecting the liquid level in various equipment such as towers, tanks, vats, spherical containers, and boilers, as well as for enabling automated control. This level gauge features a simple structure, intuitive and clear viewing, no clogging or leakage, easy installation, and simple maintenance. It boasts advantages such as flexible use, stable performance, and high reliability. So, what is the structure and principle of the remote transmission magnetic flap level gauge? I. Composition of the remote transmission magnetic flap level gauge The remote transmission magnetic flap level gauge is a liquid level control device with a simple structure and easy to use; it consists of a basic model and a reed switch remote transmission transmitter. II. Principle of the remote-transmission magnetic flap level gauge Since the remote-transmission magnetic flap level gauge is composed of a magnetic flap level gauge and a reed switch remote-transmission transmitter, the working principles of these two components will be explained below separately. 1. Working principle of the magnetic flap level gauge: The basic version of the remote-transmission magnetic flap level gauge, namely the magnetic flap level gauge – also known as the magnetic float level gauge – utilizes the principle of a communicating vessel, buoyancy, and magnetic coupling to enable real-time measurement of liquid levels. As the liquid level in the container under test rises or falls, the magnetic float inside the main measuring tube, which is used to detect changes in the liquid level, also rises or falls. The permanent magnet located within this float drives the magnetic flap outside the main measuring tube to rotate 180° through magnetic coupling; the two sides of this flap are painted different colors (usually red and white) in order to indicate the position of the liquid level. As the liquid level in the container rises, the flap changes from white to red; as the liquid level drops, it changes from red to white. The boundary between red and white on the indicator indicates the actual height of the liquid level in the container, thereby enabling accurate measurement of the liquid level for on-site display. 2. Working principle of reed switch remote transmitters. However, in modern industrial production, it is often necessary to monitor the liquid level in the devices being measured on-site from a distance; this is where reed switch remote transmitter devices come into use. The working principle of the reed switch remote transmitter is to wrap the outer protective tube of the transmitter around the outer surface of the main measuring tube of the level gauge, so that the reed switch elements inside the transmitter are within the magnetic coupling range of the magnetic float in the main measuring tube. As the magnetic float inside the main tube rises and falls with the liquid level, the magnet within the float causes the contacts of the reed switch at the corresponding position in the sensor to close together, resulting in a change in the number of resistors in the circuit and thus generating a resistance signal that corresponds to the changes in liquid level ; Through a signal converter, the resistance signal can be converted into a standard current signal of 4–20mA for output. This signal can be easily used in conjunction with electric meters and displays to achieve display, control, adjustment, and alarm functions.
