Differences between Fisher 3582i and DVC6000 series

In my use of Fisher control valves, I have mostly opted for the DVC6000 series. However, I have recently gained some basic knowledge about the 3582I series of valve positioners combined with pneumatic-electric converters. What factors should be considered when selecting such products? What’s the difference between these two?
The Fisher DVC6200 locator is now widely used; it can be used for both linear and rotary motion. It lacks a feedback rod, making it contactless and thus preventing wear of the feedback rod as well as errors caused by vibrations.
DVC is an intelligent locator, while 3582 is a mechanical locator; there is no comparison possible
6200 is magnetic feedback, with feedback. How can one determine the position without a feedback rod?
The absence of a feedback rod does not mean there is no feedback. The feedback is contactless, just like the magnetic strip type you mentioned.
