For the two ethylene oxide storage tanks, with feed cut-off valves that are shut off by high liquid level interlocks, is it necessary to have one such valve at the inlet of each tank? Can a single cut-off valve be used at the discharge pump, so that it triggers an interlock when the liquid level in either tank becomes too high?

From what I’ve seen, it only says generally that emergency shutdowns should be in place for import and export processes. Is it sufficient to close the cut-off valve in front of the unloading pump using the high liquid level interlock now?

Handle each case on its own; there are no specific rules for this. Cutting the main pipe works too, or cutting it separately does as well. Do what you actually request
