There are tons of failed cases related to product selection and installation. Let me mention a few: 1. For vacuum tanks, ultrasonic level sensors were used instead of the appropriate ones. 2. For ammonia tanks, radar level sensors were chosen instead of the right ones. 3. Differential pressure level sensors were used to measure the level in high-vacuum tanks at pressures below -40 kPa. 4. Insertion type level sensors were placed at the bottom of tanks, where they got covered by mud. 5. There are more such cases; I’ll add more details downstairs

1 Without a medium of transmission, how can sound waves be transmitted? I’ve forgotten all the physics I learned in school, haha.
For the steam pipeline with a diameter of 300, it was necessary to use flow meters with the same diameter; it was planned to handle the flow requirements for several phases in one go, but only 1/3 of that was actually used, leaving the flow meters as mere decorations
I have modified the steam metering systems in many of our company’s production units. The most significant change is reducing DN150 to DN65. Challenges in industrial instrumentation: steam measurement, oxygen content, pH meters, etc.
