It involves a chemical medium that is highly toxic, operates under high temperature and pressure; therefore, special types of connections are required. It is considered welding it to the valve body of the control valve and then connecting it to the pipeline – is this feasible?
The forged valve body and flange can be welded; of course, in the case of a cast valve body, it is principle that it should be cast as a single unit without any welding.
It’s feasible; for valves involving highly toxic substances, the connections are made by direct welding, as there are specific requirements in place. For valves that handle highly toxic substances, high pressures, or high temperatures, it’s best to install them properly from the start, because repairing them is very complicated… one has to cut them open in order to remove them. . . Orders usually require welded connections, and imported components are generally used. To be honest, all such devices are entirely imported; a single valve can cost as much as dozens of other components put together.
