The liquid level in the liquid ammonia spherical tank is measured under the influence of temperature changes; the cooling capacity generated as a result of the large circulation volume may not be sufficient. Could anyone with expertise suggest a solution?
Regarding the operating conditions, all aspects need to be covered: 1. What is the temperature range of the spherical tank? 2. What is the pressure range of the spherical tank? 3. Diameter of the spherical tank? 4. What type of level gauge is currently in use? Have you used those level gauges before? .
Differential pressure level gauges do exhibit deviations due to the influence of temperature. But it shouldn’t happen with a radar level gauge.

It’s possible to install two level gauges for comparison: one of differential pressure type and one with a magnetic float and on-site display. I’m not sure if that will work

Give an electronic remote-level gauge a try; it should be able to solve the problem you mentioned
A guided-wave radar level gauge will do; the sensor located between the gauge head and the probe is sealed with epoxy resin to prevent leaks over time, and there are no other issues.
The plant we use is equipped with a servo level gauge and a radar level gauge with a guide tube, and we have never encountered any problems with them
