In this situation, most of the valves on site use British-style gas supply pipes; therefore, there are corresponding ferrules and gas hoses available for connecting to these valves. There are also some valves that use metric pipes, and now various metric ferrules are available. Since no metric pipes are present, can a 1/4 inch hose be used as a substitute for a 6 mm hose?
