I’ve run into a problem recently: there is a pressure signal that needs to be fed into both the DCS and the SIS, and this signal is required by various control stations within the SIS. Can I use one two-input two-output safety barrier in series with another two-input two-output safety barrier? Please ask the experts to give some answers

Safety barriers cannot be connected in series, as this can lead to problems.
In principle, it is sufficient to connect a shunt (also known as a signal isolator, which has multiple outputs from one input) after the safety barrier. But it is inappropriate to do this for signals entering the SIS system.
