I would like to ask everyone what type of local thermometer is generally used for liquid ammonia storage tanks? How is it measured, and does it need to be emptied before replacement? Thank you!

It’s just a bimetallic thermometer; its typical accuracy is 1.5. There’s no requirement for a cut-off valve on the thermometer to allow for replacement without shutting down operations. The reliability of actual on-site thermometers is very low; the so-called accuracy figures aren’t very trustworthy either, and few people believe the temperatures displayed by these thermometers. Nowadays, infrared thermometers are available at each work station, and they are quite convenient to use. I once tried to find a thermometer in the warehouse that showed the same temperature as the one displayed by the thermometer at that time; it was extremely difficult, as it was hard to eliminate any error of zero degrees.
