Pump interlock signal cable

Regarding the pump interlock cable, it is to be sent by the instrumentation team. I would like to ask whether this interlock cable only carries signals for stopping the pump as part of the interlock function; as for signals indicating the pump’s status and any faults, as well as commands to start or stop the pump via the DCS, should these be handled by the instrumentation team or the electrical team?
In my opinion, it should be the instrumentation department that makes the proposals, as control is involved in everything; the electrical engineering department only needs to submit the electrical equipment and protection measures required by the instrumentation department
Since the management of the pump is handled by the electrical system, both the status signal points DI and the control signal points DO are under the responsibility of the electrical system. Even for the current signals of some pumps that need to be connected to the DCS, it should be the responsibility of the electrical department; the instrumentation department is only responsible for the terminal connections within the control cabinet. All other connections related to the electrical system, aside from the wiring inside the control cabinet, should also fall under the responsibility of the electrical department.
Under the normal division, the instrumentation team is responsible for the signals in the instrument control room, while the electrical team is in charge of the signals from the electrical installation sites to the distribution room, as well as providing electrical signals for the instruments, which are then routed to the instrument control room
This issue mainly depends on the division of tasks within the design institute; some design institutes stipulate that the electrical department is responsible for laying all cables between the electrical MCCs and the instrumentation systems； Some regulations state that \"the party using the signal is responsible for installing the cables\", meaning that the instrumentation department is in charge of the cables for the DI signals of the DCS, while the electrical department is responsible for the cables for the DO signals of the DCS ；
Under normal circumstances, all cables for electrical and instrumentation connections are laid by the electrical team
The status signal, pump stop signal, and fault signal are determined by the instruments.
