Some time ago, the heating wire in the HACH CODMA*I digestion cell in our company broke. Due to the lack of spare parts, the instrument was out of service for a while (without power being cut off). Yesterday, a new digestion cell was installed; before the replacement, the CODMA*I device showed an I2C error. What kind of error is that? How to handle it. Thank you!

The user manual does not list this error code. In previous versions of CODMAX, if there was a bus error, it would simply indicate a bus error, and it was also possible to define each component individually. In this current version, an I2C error is reported, and the maintenance routine is not even triggered; that’s why I have no other choice but to turn to all of you for help.
Using the code “I2C” to search for information on industrial buses, I2C is one of such buses; therefore, based on the relevant sections in the user manual, the possibility of an “internal bus error” is very high
The I2C error has been resolved, thank you all. The reason was that the 12VDC voltage from the COD power supply was not being supplied, while the +/-5VDC outputs were working normally; since the monitor displayed normal signals at that time, no issues with the power supply were considered. :lol:lol:lol
I found it myself, but it was by accident. I accidentally opened the display cover to check the power supply and found that the 12VDC power indicator light was off.
