In a reaction vessel equipped with a stirrer, there is a protective tube provided as part of the equipment; the temperature-sensitive element is installed inside this protective tube. It is generally necessary to use heat transfer oil, and the type of heat transfer oil used should have a temperature not exceeding 100 degrees.
Under normal circumstances, one can refer to the oil used for filling the pressure gauge; it should be silicone oil in a proper setup. However, many manufacturers that cut corners use glycerin instead.
