Regarding the calibration of micro-oxygen analyzers, when calibrating the zero point of these instruments, people usually use high-purity nitrogen with several 9s in its purity level; we use nitrogen with a purity of ≥99.992% from Beifen – I’m not sure if that will work. The impurity levels of nitrogen and oxygen in such cases can be as high as several dozen ppm; can such gas be used as zero-point gas? Saying such things is not a problem with intelligence; it’s a problem with competence. Why doesn’t the original poster ask the people in the laboratory who work with chromatography, especially those in positions using ECD detectors? They would be able to explain it right away if asked.
Some people talk nonsense. For the zero gas of a trace oxygen analyzer, the key is to remove any residual trace oxygen from this zero gas, rather than choosing a background gas with a certain level of oxygen concentration.
