There is a pneumatic control valve with a handwheel; it cannot operate automatically recently, and the handwheel has to be turned to the fully open position each time in order for it to function automatically. But after a short while, it can no longer be driven to the designated location; a handwheel is required. . . . . . . .
Is it a quality issue? Physically-based methods are not supposed to be related to automatic control.
Is it because the locator isn’t properly calibrated?
As the handwheel is adjusted automatically, the rotating screw inside moves; once the screw descends, the automatic opening function gets blocked, allowing only downward closing. Today I initially disassembled the handwheel; there was a screw that, presumably, served to hold the handwheel in place, and it broke.
