We are preparing to use a larger spherical tank in place of the previous small storage tank. Different types of level gauges are required for measurement – which types are commonly used? If it’s working well, I’d recommend it
The external-mounted level gauges produced by manufacturers in Xi’an are quite convenient
An electric float level gauge or a servo level gauge can be used; the accuracy is at the centimeter level. To improve reliability, high and low level float switches or other types of level gauges, such as differential pressure level gauges, can also be installed.
Guided wave radar and servo level gauges are very useful
According to the specifications, a spherical tank should have 3 sets of level systems. A set of direct-reading level gauges typically uses glass tube or plate-type level gauges; magnetic flip-board types are also used, but it is necessary to check whether the applicable design specifications permit their use ; A set of independent upper and lower level switches, float balls, tuning forks, radar, ultrasound, capacitive, and RF methods – all of them are useful ; The standard configuration for remote level gauges is a steel-band (servo) level gauge; based on personal experience, radio frequency admittance and guided wave radar systems also work well.
Prepare a set of magnetic flap switches, a double-flange level gauge, and a radar level gauge
External-mounted types are indeed convenient, but this one seems to require integration into the SIS system. External-mounted level gauges for spherical tanks have an inherent drawback in terms of accuracy; it’s not a problem if there’s no comparison, but when compared with other level gauges, there is always some deviation, and it depends on whether people are willing to accept such deviations
It depends on the medium; some media used in radar are not effective
Feel free to message me if you need anything, haha
Floor 5 is the correct answer, but after the security inspection, the glass panels were replaced with magnetic flip panels. Measurement can be done using double flange, servo, or guided wave radar. External mounting of the switch. I’m not sure whether, according to the standards, the fewer openings a spherical tank has, the better
