I’m not sure whether to set the IP address of the system network, the IP address of the controller, or the address of the control module within the controller. What if there are two controllers? How should it be configured in that case?

The control station can be connected to multiple redundant controllers using multiple network cards, or by assigning multiple addresses to a single network card. Of course, if the controllers of the various stations belong to the same network segment, then assigning just one IP address will enable communication between them all. I think you should first find an official manual to read, and it would be good to also acquire some basic knowledge of the internet.
This needs to be confirmed with the DCS manufacturer. Generally, the address of the server is fixed, and other control stations can be within the same network management system. For example, the connection method for the control network of Zhejiang University’s control system is redundant, with two separate networks: 128.128.1.* and 128.128.2.*
Use the IP address of the operation station; for two systems, dual network cards are required
The IP of the computer network, as well as the address of the controller, are set manually
