This post was last edited by Shuimo Lianyi on 2018-12-7 at 09:27. The Rosemount 3051 pressure transmitter has a range of 0–20 MPa; after zeroing it using HART, the output on the HART interface is 4 mA, but the actual output remains at 3.952 mA. What should be done? Is the transmitter damaged?
Do you mean there are other actions before and after resetting? For example, putting it into use……
Upon actual calculation, the error for the zero-point measurement is only 0.3%, which falls within the accuracy range specified in the table
Try pressing the mechanical zero-setting button on the table; generally, the zero point should not shift, and if it shifts significantly, the actual measured values may shift even more
I also tried mechanical zeroing, but it didn’t work; the zero current remained unchanged. The zero point wasn’t adjusted properly, and the greater the pressure, the larger the errors that occurred.
When the pressure is increased to 20 MPa, the value becomes only 19.779 mA, which represents a relatively large error
In this case, the only options are to contact the manufacturer for repair at their factory, or try replacing the circuit board
Is the pressure transmitter of the flange diaphragm type?

It’s not obvious; I remember there seems to be a write-protection function – check the manual
