1. Electromagnetic flowmeter The electromagnetic flowmeter is not affected by external factors such as temperature, pressure, viscosity, or density; there is no pressure loss due to any constrictions or protrusions inside the measurement tube. The initial signal detected by the flow element is a voltage that varies in a precise linear relationship with the average flow velocity of the fluid; since it is independent of other properties of the fluid, this feature offers significant advantages. Given the characteristics of wastewater, such as large flow rate variations, high levels of impurities, and a certain degree of electrical conductivity, using an electromagnetic flowmeter for measuring wastewater is an excellent choice. Electromagnetic flowmeters are suitable for measuring sewage in pipes with diameters ranging from DN15 to DN3000. The measurement range ratio can reach 1:150. Only a 5D front section and a 3D rear section of the pipe are required. They are easy to install, convenient to use, offer high measurement accuracy, have a compact structure and small size. Installation, operation, and maintenance are all very straightforward. They can function properly in harsh environments. For measuring sewage, a polytetrafluoroethylene lining along with 316L stainless steel electrodes is sufficient to meet the measurement requirements. 2. Vortex flow meter The vortex flow meter is inexpensive, easy to install, has low pressure loss, a wide measurement range, and high accuracy. When measuring sewage, attention must be paid to its corrosive nature; if the corrosion is severe, a polytetrafluoroethylene lining can be used. The fluid cannot contain any floc-like substances such as plastic sheets, as even tiny amounts of such substances attached to the vortex generator can affect the frequency of the vortices generated, thereby impacting the measurement accuracy of the instrument.
