I was filling out the specification sheet today and came across this item; what does this item mean...? Does a heat protection device refer to insulation or to a temperature control device?
A heat protection device consists of a layer of insulation cotton or insulating material added outside the steam jacket, which serves a similar purpose to insulating pipes.
It refers to insulation, got it……
A semi-rigid industrial protective jacket serves two purposes: 1. To prevent burns and protect people. 2. Insulate to prevent freezing.
Whether to write it with or without a dash depends on whether the instrument manufacturer offers this option.
