4-20mA signal to optical fiber signal conversion

I would like to ask the experts here: Does anyone know if it’s possible in chemical production plants to convert signals such as temperature, pressure, flow rate, and liquid level from 4-20mA format into optical fiber signals for transmission to the DCS? Is it running stably? How much is the investment approximately? Are there any actual cases? Thank you!
This is done in many non-explosion-proof areas, but not yet in many explosion-proof areas.

What do Class A factories have? Fiber optics are safer than cables. For monitoring points of major hazard sources, optical fibers cannot be used casually as they are unstable.
