On-site inspections of chemical enterprises keep coming one after another; they are all aimed at checking compliance with various regulations and standard documents, and fines are also imposed continuously. I have never seen any regulations regarding the calibration of thermocouples, thermal resistors, pressure gauges, and pressure transmitters in chemical production. The company does have relevant rules in place, but the calibration intervals are all the same: 6 months for pressure gauges and 12 months for temperature sensors. These requirements seem rather general; there is no differentiation based on different types of equipment. Moreover, meeting these calibration intervals in actual production requires a significant amount of manpower. Therefore, we hope that fellow sailors can provide a relevant **testing procedure for research, and it would be ideal if some links to related explanations are included as well. I checked the Work Standard Network and found a few relevant documents. On Baidu, no free downloadable versions were available for the JJF 1637-2017 Standard for Calibrating Industrial Ferrous Metal Thermocouples, the JJG229-2010 Regulations for Testing Industrial Platinum and Copper Thermal Resistors, the JJG 49-2013 Regulations for Testing Precision Pressure Gauges and Vacuum Meters with Elastic Elements, the JJG 52-2013 Regulations for Testing Ordinary Pressure Gauges, Pressure-Vacuum Gauges, and Vacuum Meters with Elastic Elements, and the JJG 882-2004 Regulations for Testing Pressure Transmitters
The types of instruments and the environments in which they are used vary across different industries, and I personally think it’s difficult to establish such standards

What are the current inspection requirements for chemical process instruments? Aren’t instruments that are subject to mandatory calibration required to be calibrated? Are there any requirements?

To be honest, in most **departmental inspections these days, the experts involved are senior executives from companies who have in-depth knowledge of one or several fields; they may not be fully familiar with the specific standard clauses, but they have a general idea of them. Moreover, those who work on instrument maintenance are not very familiar with the standards, unless they are involved in design and come into frequent contact with them. In my opinion, the current standards are quite broad; they can be applied in many industries, and there are no detailed explanations provided. In practice, there are also significant differences.
