Installation of turbine flowmeters: 1. When installing the sensor, care must be taken to ensure that the direction indicated on the nameplate is respected; it must not be installed in the reverse direction. 2. Under normal circumstances, the sensor is installed horizontally. Due to the constraints imposed by the upstream conditions, it is recommended that there be a certain length of straight pipe section in front of and behind the sensor; the length of the straight pipe section in front should be 10 times the diameter of the selected sensor, while the length of the straight pipe section behind should be 5 times the diameter of the selected sensor. The minimum requirement is 10 in front and 5 behind; for accurate measurement, it’s better to use a longer length. Can a bypass be installed on the flow meter?
Any direction, such as horizontal, vertical, or others, is acceptable. Whether to use a filter is up to each factory to decide; it’s not mandatory
