The valve specification sheet does not include data on the spacing between the valve mounting flanges; who provides this information? Without this data, it’s impossible to make provisions during pipeline installation, right?
Generally, the thickness of small gaskets is around 3 mm; it depends on how the design team determines this in the schematic diagrams (for large valves). There are relevant regulations regarding material standards, and the purchasing department needs the design team to provide the standard parameters before making purchases.
The manufacturers of control valves can provide them; design institutes do not. The flange distances of the valve bodies vary among different manufacturers, probably due to the use of different manufacturing standards.
For the valves specified in a new project, the manufacturer needs to provide their dimensions. The piping department of the design institute will include this dimension in the design drawings. The construction team will prepare the valve assemblies according to this dimension, and once the valves arrive, they will cut the pipes to the actual dimensions and weld the flanges together.

Cut off a section of the pipe later and install it. If space is reserved, not only is construction inconvenient, but it is also difficult to manage the stress on the pipes.
The total length of the valve body in ordinary valve manufacturers generally doesn’t vary much, but there are exceptions for some non-standard cases.
