Electromagnetic flowmeters should not be installed in areas where the indoor temperature fluctuates greatly or where they are exposed to the high temperatures generated by machinery and equipment; if installation is necessary, measures must be taken to ensure insulation and good air circulation ; 2. The best option for electromagnetic flowmeters is to install them indoors; if installation outdoors is necessary, it is essential to prevent exposure to rain, water accumulation, and sunlight, and measures must be taken to protect them from moisture and ultraviolet rays ; 3. Electromagnetic flowmeters should be avoided from being installed in an environment containing corrosive gases; if installation is necessary, measures must be taken to ensure air circulation ; 4. To facilitate installation, maintenance, and repair, sufficient installation space is required next to the flow meter ; 5. The installation site of the electromagnetic flowmeter should be free from magnetic fields and strong vibration sources; if the pipes vibrate significantly, supports to fix the pipes should be installed on both sides of the flowmeter. The best installation method for electromagnetic flowmeters is to avoid creating a negative pressure inside the measurement tube as much as possible, and also to choose a location with minimal vibration. In addition, try to avoid high concentrations of corrosive gases in the surrounding environment, as the distance between the controller’s flange and its housing is limited; the connection bolts should be inserted from the pipeline side. To achieve normal accurate measurement precision, the length of the straight pipe section upstream of the controller should be no less than 5 times the size of the controller, and downstream it should be no less than 3 times the controller’s size. If this requirement cannot be met at the point of installation, flow straighteners must be installed on the upstream, middle, and downstream sides to eliminate vortices in the flow, improve the distribution of the flow velocity field, and enhance the accuracy and stability of the instruments. There are no special restrictions regarding the installation of the controller, but regardless of the type chosen, it is essential to ensure that the measurement tube is completely filled with the medium being measured; there should be no partial filling or bubbles accumulated within the measurement tube.
