What is the purpose of the small condensation tank located at the outlet of the steam pressure pipe? What’s the impact of not having it?
The condensation tank prevents the high-temperature steam in the measurement pipeline from causing thermal shock to the transmitter gauge.
It may not be very effective, but it can still prevent water from entering the instruments
It not only prevents the end vapor from condensing and causing inaccurate density and pressure differences at the transmitter, but also acts as a buffer tank to ensure a more stable pressure delivery to the transmitter!
Does that condenser need insulation? ?

The condensation tank can also be referred to as an isolation tank. During measurement, it must be filled with condensed water to prevent superheated steam from directly impacting the diaphragm of the transmitter instrument and causing damage. Generally, insulation is required in winter. If heat tracing tubes are used for heating, they must not be placed too close to the pressure tap tubes to prevent vaporization, which could lead to inaccurate measurements.
So, how is it ensured that the interior must be filled with condensate water? Are there any installation specifications for this?
Method 1: The condensation tank usually has a filling port; fill it with water, release some air at the three-valve assembly, and then add more water to the tank. Method 2: Do not activate the three-valve assembly yet; open the root valve to allow the steam to condense on its own into the condenser tank and pressure guide tubes (about 1 hour is usually sufficient), and then activate the three-valve assembly.
