The process conditions are a heat transfer oil at 300°C with a control valve; those who have used it please provide information.
Ball valves with double shutters are both acceptable; WCB material is sufficient
Single-seat control valve, metal seal, used for on/off function. 316L or INCONEL bellows, with a pressure resistance of 16-20 KG.
A hard-sealed ball valve will do; it’s sufficient to provide the manufacturer with information on leakage rates and safety features such as fault switches.
If it is a switch valve, a hard-sealed ball valve will suffice. A gate valve can be used as a manual valve!
The pipe size also matters; ball valves of 10 inches or larger are quite expensive. It is recommended to use ball valves for pipes smaller than 10 inches, while three-eccentric butterfly valves should be used for pipes 10 inches or larger
Why wasn’t cladding proposed? With such high temperatures, the pressure rating must also be high; a metal hard-seal design with welded valve stem and seat, and graphite packing is used for ball valves.
