The company’s packaging line is equipped with a variety of components such as diffuse reflection photoelectric switches, magnetic switches for detecting cylinder position and mechanical position, fuses, and relays. Due to the frequent movement of various moving parts, the likelihood of failures is high. So, how often is it reasonable to replace these components? Are there any relevant regulations that specify this?
There is no clear specification. If the cylinder operates 2-3 times per minute at such a frequency, similar to PSA units used in hydrogen production, it generally needs to be replaced entirely after 2 years. Get more accessories for the other items; their lifespan is generally longer than that of cylinders.
There is no explicit regulation for this. As long as it does not affect the production process, there are two methods: the first is to calculate based on the number of times the device is switched on by the manufacturer and its service life; the second is to rely on experience by estimating the average time interval during which each component fails. The failure interval may vary depending on the specific working station. By determining these intervals, components can be replaced at regular intervals in advance, thereby avoiding losses caused by sudden stops
