What is the purpose of the pressure release valve at the top of the pressure-reducing filter?

Does anyone know what the function of the pressure relief port on the instrument air pressure reduction and filtration filter for control valves is? If the pressure of the instrument air drops too much, air leakage occurs – I’m not sure whether this is a fault or normal
This post was last edited by tiger2010 on 2023-2-13 08:45. When the valve disc of the pressure relief valve moves, a small amount of exhaust gas is released from this pressure release port. You mentioned this pressure drop – what are the two positions whose values are being compared?
It is the pressure in the instrument air pipeline that reaches the pressure required by the control valve. Some pressure-reducing filters can handle pressures above 4 kilograms without issue; however, when the pressure is below 4 kilograms, air continues to be discharged from that location. Just because air keeps being discharged doesn’t necessarily mean the filter is damaged
How long has it been in use? Are the conditions such as brand, installation, and set pressure the same for those that discharge continuously and those that do not? It is normal for there to be a continuous release of pressure; it just results in more compressed air being wasted.
This is an overpressure vent. However, when the pressure is too low, this balance system becomes unbalanced and air leakage occurs as well.
