There is a project to relocate and renovate the control room here. The cabinets and control panels that were previously located in the on-site operation rooms within the equipment area are now to be moved to the newly built area control room. The preliminary plan is to transfer all the original control stations and operation panels to the new area control room, while replacing the corresponding positions in the original on-site operation rooms with junction boxes. Multiple pairs of cables will be used to transmit signals to the new operation room, with it being ideal to achieve a one-to-one correspondence (one control station corresponding to one junction box). The transfer box needs to be explosion-proof; for now, an increased-safety type is being used. How many signals can an increased-safety transfer box handle (what is the maximum number of input and output terminals)? Is it possible to establish a one-to-one correspondence with the original control stations?
Consult manufacturers that produce remote IO cabinets to see what they can offer
Ask the purchasing department in your factory; each salesperson has their own area of responsibility, so it’s not easy to provide contact information
Only the main computer and the emergency stop button need to be moved; the control cabinet does not need to be relocated.
What was said on the 2nd floor is correct; using remote I/O is more appropriate. Most DCS manufacturers these days can provide it……
The current difficulty is that if remote IO cabinets are used, explosion-proof types are required. I’m not sure if it’s easy to develop explosion-proof remote IO cabinets

Can the original local control room be ventilated with positive pressure? There are explosion-proof remote I/Os; you can ask the manufacturer. Emerson CHARMs and Honeywell UPC seem to work for Zone 2……
