Running macOS 5.2.3, planning to upgrade to 6.5.2 – do any of you have any good suggestions? Also, please provide the record of the longest operating time for system 5.2.3 – why did you perform the upgrade?
It is best to follow the instructions of the manufacturing unit; it’s best not to take any responsibility for the consequences that may arise. If I were curious, I would have used it for over a decade without upgrading it. The key is to clarify this aspect in the contract. It’s better to upgrade; if there are any issues caused by data loss, they’ll say it’s because no upgrade was done. It’s not worth the cost; for reference only.
Thank you. It’s mainly because the system has been running for a long time, which has led to more hardware and software issues. Although these issues don’t affect production yet, for safety reasons, I want to replace the hardware other than the I/O components, and take the opportunity to upgrade the system as well.
During the major overhaul in 2019, our unit upgraded from 5.6 to 6.5; it is recommended to contact Hilscher directly
It has been in use for exactly ten years; it is currently being upgraded, with both the software and hardware being replaced.
