Due to its advantages such as simple installation, no need for drilling holes, and avoidance of welding, the external level gauge is widely used in industries such as petrochemicals, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals. Today, I’ll take you to explore the secrets behind the installation of these external level gauges. Installation steps: 1. Sand the tank wall – First, we need to sand the outer surface of the tank, ensuring that the area to be sanded is larger than Φ80mm2. 2. Remove the protective cover and take out the probe, removing the protective cover from the probe as well. 3. Apply coupling agent to the sealing ring and wrap it around the outer edge of the shielding cover; apply silicone grease to the probe core in a layer 1.5–2 mm thick. 4. Install the probe. 5. Install the bend support – this support is fixed to the DN50 (2”) vertical pipe using U-bolts and M8 nuts. 6. Install the main unit: use the cross-head screws M8*14, flat washers, and spring washers provided as installation accessories to fix the main unit to the mounting bracket. 7. Users generally use DN20 (6’) galvanized pipes with G3/4” external thread connections; a corresponding adapter is required, and one such adapter is included in the packaging accessory bag. Hose connections: The flexible hoses connecting the host and the measuring probe in the nearby area are made of explosion-proof flexible pipes, while the remaining piping is equipped with DN20 (6’) galvanized pipes. The hose connecting the measurement probe should not experience significant torsional forces, to prevent the probe from falling off. Sealing and drainage: The cable inlet of the main unit must be fitted with sealing rings and metal gaskets of the appropriate diameter (included), as well as cables that secure everything in place to prevent water from entering ; The lowest point of the pipe running between the measuring probe and the host must be equipped with a drainage outlet, such as a drain-type explosion-proof isolation seal box (provided by the user). Interference prevention: Instrument pipelines should be avoided from being laid parallel to lines that generate strong interference, such as motors and drives. 8.
