Seeking advice: Gas detectors for toxic and harmful gases are not subject to mandatory inspection. If an enterprise conducts internal inspections, do the inspectors need relevant certification? Additionally: What is the relationship between toxic and harmful gas detectors and measuring instruments of Class ABC?
Previously, it was the enterprises that established measurement standards, and personnel obtained certification as measurement inspectors (although I’ve heard that such certifications no longer exist). What needs to be calibrated is usually related to analytical instruments, and calibration is done using standard gases!
Apart from the calibration conducted by the metrology institute, third-party testing issues a calibration certificate; but was metrological verification carried out?
