Metal rotameters are mainly used to measure certain data. If its measurement accuracy is low and it contains errors, then its actual function will not exist. Therefore, everyone must pay attention to its measurement accuracy. What if the error of a metal tube float flow meter is too large? Here is the relevant analysis: It is believed that many companies and factories are very familiar with flow meters, as rapid development in the industry makes their use essential. However, many flowmeters available on the market today do not offer good guarantees. When measuring certain corrosive and strong acidic media, the flow meters suffer severe damage, which makes it impossible to obtain very accurate measurements; therefore, there is now a good alternative available. Flow meters have become something that every company and factory wants. The advent of metal tube float flowmeters has greatly met the needs of these customers. Reasons for measurement errors in metal tube float flowmeters: 1. Medium issues. It is possible when the medium is a liquid, but if the medium is a gas, the impact can be significant. The measurement of flowmeters is calculated based on factors such as the density of the medium, head pressure, and float-type flowmeters; however, changes in temperature and pressure have an impact, with density being particularly significant in the case of gases. 2. The selected period parameters are not accurate enough. For flowmeters, the density must be asked about during the selection process; therefore, an accurate density value must be provided at this time. Each flow meter is calibrated based on density and other parameters. If the medium to be measured is carbon dioxide and the flow meter is calibrated based on air density, the scale values will be inaccurate in use. At this point, one method is to perform the conversion using a conversion formula, and the other method is to recalibrate. 3. Due to factors such as long-term use and pipeline vibration, moving parts of the float flowmeter sensor, such as the electromagnetic steel, pointer, counterweight, and rotating electromagnetic steel, become loose, resulting in significant errors. At this point, the scale indication is first compared with the 4-20mA signal output. If they match, please troubleshoot the remote transmission module first. To calibrate a flow meter, it usually requires adjustment by a professional; otherwise, the settings will be lost and the meter will need to be sent back to the manufacturer for calibration. 4. Incorrect installation: When installing a rotameter vertically, it must remain vertical, with an inclination angle of no more than 20 degrees. When installing a horizontal rotameter, it must be kept horizontal, with an inclination angle not exceeding 20 degrees. There must be no ferromagnetic objects within 100 mm around the rotameter. . The installation location should be far away from the pressure reducing valve, the pump outlet, and the turning points of the process pipelines. Meet the requirements for the first 5D after a 250mm straight pipe section. As mentioned above, these are the reasons for the excessive error in metal tube float flowmeters. After that, everyone still needs to be careful when using it! A metal tube float flow meter relies on the pressure difference generated when fluid enters a conical tube and flows past the float, causing it to move upward. When the pressure difference, gravity, and buoyancy reach equilibrium, the float will stop at a certain position. There is a corresponding relationship between traffic and volume. When transmitted through magnetic coupling, it can indicate the magnitude of the flow. The Chengfeng metal tube float flow meter features a robust and reliable structure, making it suitable for measuring volumetric flow rate in various complex applications. Therefore, it is widely used in flow measurement and industrial process control.
