Gentlemen: Are there any installation requirements regarding the distance between the pressure gauge/thermometer at the outlet of the temperature and pressure reducer and the water spraying point?
The installation locations of the pressure and temperature measurement points on the temperature and pressure reduction unit are usually provided in the drawings issued by the manufacturer of that unit. Generally, the layout of pressure measurement points on the drawings is fine; for temperature measurements to be accurate, the temperature points should usually be about 2 meters away from the outlet of the spray cooling device. Go as far away as possible; if the temperature is too close, it will be displayed as low. I’ve never paid attention to pressure!
Under normal circumstances, the temperature and pressure measurement points of the temperature reducer are located on the outlet pipe of the device, near it – not too close nor too far – to ensure accurate measurements and sensitive control.
The lower the temperature, the better; pressure doesn’t matter, as our steam pipeline network is very long, and what’s important is that the temperature at the end of the pipelines meets the required standards
