1. Use the 10K setting; there is a 15-volt battery inside. A turn-on voltage can be provided. 2. Since the gate is equivalent to a capacitor and is not connected to any other terminal, it is easy to identify the gate whether it is an N-type or P-type transistor; otherwise, the transistor is defective. 3. By using test leads to charge the gate-source junction in the forward or reverse direction, it is possible to turn the drain-source path on or off. Since the charge on the gate can be retained, these two steps can be carried out sequentially rather than simultaneously, which is convenient. However, to discharge it, the pins must be shorted or reverse-charged. 4. There is usually a reverse-biased diode between the source and drain; this should be taken into consideration to aid in making judgments. 5. When most people use their ancestral estates as a surname, the right source leaks through the left barrier. The first three points above must be mastered, while the latter two can be applied flexibly; this will enable one to quickly identify pins and distinguish between good and bad ones. For a newly acquired MOSFET of unknown type, its terminals can be identified by measurement; only by accurately determining the arrangement of the terminals can it be used correctly.
