I remember there was a feature for making changes online, but such operations are very risky, as unlike DCS where changes are made offline, here they are made directly online; making a mistake by accident can be quite troublesome. I remember that uploading is possible online; you can give it a try without hesitation. At most, you’ll get a message saying that uploading isn’t allowed, but doing nothing else will not affect normal operation.
No configuration changes are required; it can be changed online. Both Boto and Du support it. Before online download, it checks for differences from what is running in the PLC; sections that differ are marked, and minor changes allow only the relevant program segments to be downloaded.
Does Botou support 200 Smart now?
I’m sorry: L, Botou does not support Smart200; I was wrong. The Step7 version 2.2 already supported editing while the program was running, and the latest version seems to be 2.5

I only have the Chinese manual for version 2.2; the manual (see attachment) has a dedicated section on online debugging (page 131). The operations and possible issues are all described, which you can refer to
Uploading the program will cause the PLC to stop working, so the output is turned off; once the upload is complete, clicking \"Run\" will restore normal operation. Generally, small PLCs do not support online program modification, while larger and medium-sized ones offer better support for this.
