When installing an electromagnetic flowmeter, try to keep it away from ferromagnetic objects, high-frequency sources, strong vibration interference, as well as devices with strong electromagnetic fields (such as high-power motors and large transformers), so as to prevent the magnetic field from affecting the working magnetic field of the sensor and the flow signal; Try to install it in a dry and well-ventilated area; it should not be installed in damp places where water tends to accumulate ; Avoid exposure to sunlight and rain; the ambient temperature should be between -20 and 60°C with a relative humidity of less than 95% ; Its sensors can be installed on straight pipes as well as on horizontal or inclined pipes, provided that the line connecting the centers of the electrodes is horizontal. The medium should flow fully within the tube at the installation location, to prevent incomplete filling and bubbles from adhering to the electrodes. When modifying the pipeline installation of an electromagnetic flowmeter and the flow rate of the medium does not meet the requirements, a flowmeter with a smaller diameter should be selected. In such cases, an eccentric conical tube or part of the pipeline should be modified to match the diameter of the sensor; however, the straight sections before and after the sensor must satisfy the following requirements: the straight section before the sensor should be ≥5D, and the straight section after it should be ≥2D (where D is the pipe diameter). The straight sections before and after the flow meter should be ≥5D in front and ≥3D at the back. If the flow meter is installed separately, a custom-made dedicated signal cable should be used for the connection; the shorter the cable, the better ; The excitation cable can be a medium-sized rubber-sheathed cable, with a length equal to that of the signal cable ; Signal cables must be strictly separated from other power cables; they cannot be laid in the same conduit, cannot be laid side by side, and cannot be twisted together – instead, they should each be run separately inside steel tubes ; The signal cables and excitation cables should be as short as possible. Excess cable should not be coiled together; instead, it should be cut off and the connections rewelded. When the cables enter the sensor’s electrical interface, they should be shaped into a U-shape at that point, thereby preventing rainwater from seeping into the sensor.
