Installation location of gas alarm controller

Must a combustible gas alarm controller be installed in a location where there are people on duty? Is it feasible to install it in a manned power distribution room and connect it to the DCS, and is this in compliance with relevant regulations? The premise is that there are not many alarms currently, and no GDS system is in use.
That’s what I did; in my opinion, it doesn’t matter whether an alarm system uploads surveillance footage or not, whether there’s someone present or not
As required by the specifications, they should be separated; in my understanding, the controller and the DCS are separate entities, but they can communicate with each other, with the information being displayed and alerts issued on the DCS operation station. For gas alarms that have a limited number of sensors on-site and are located far away from the control room, it is not practical to use direct wiring due to signal attenuation; therefore, it is more reasonable to transmit the signals via DCS communication from the on-site cabinet room to the control room.
