I want to install an automatic control valve under the metering tank that can be operated remotely via DCS. Is my way of expressing this reasonable?
Is it necessary to quote the automatic control signal line?
This valve of yours should be a on/off valve; by our convention, on/off valves are generally denoted as XV
Is a control valve for level control needed? ? Change the valve’s head to a bun shape? Then in loop control, LIACS:lol
If this valve is to be controlled remotely via DCS, the actuator is represented correctly; the valve itself is usually indicated as XV or HV, with the corresponding solenoid valve and air circuit shown next to it. The solenoid valve is generally denoted as XSV or HSV (corresponding to those symbols used for the valve). Generally, the valve position feedback signals XZC (valve closed) and XCO (valve open) are also required. Note: The actuator of the control valve shown above is drawn incorrectly.
What I drew above is a cut-off valve, not a W-regulating valve
It’s either a control valve or a simple on/off valve for remote operation; I just want to confirm how to represent it in the drawings
Just change it to XV; don’t touch anything else
