However, instrument manufacturers also have their own protocols, so it’s important to check whether the protocols supported by your handheld controller are compatible with those of the gauge. There is also a file involved – only if the handheld controller has this file can it be used

It is mainly related to the protocols supported by the handheld controllers; currently, the most common ones are the HART protocol, Yokogawa’s BRAIN protocol, and Honeywell’s DE protocol. Communication is possible when the protocols are the same. Honeywell has two types of protocols: one is the DE protocol and the other is the HART protocol. If it is necessary to know which protocol a sensor uses, then a controller that supports that protocol can be used for universal operation. If communication is still not possible even with the same settings, a 250-ohm resistor needs to be connected in the circuit.
