For the filtrate that has passed through plate and frame filtration, an online turbidity detector is intended to be installed in order to monitor the level of suspended solids and prevent high levels of such solids from reaching the next processing stage. The current requirement is that the light transmittance should be no less than 60. Is it possible to achieve this using an online turbidity detector? How to choose the model?

It is best to monitor both the inlet and outlet of the filter; this allows one to assess the condition of the filtrate, and it is also possible to determine the filtration efficiency and loading based on the difference in turbidity. When selecting a turbidimeter, it is necessary to provide information such as process conditions, temperature and pressure, installation method, whether explosion protection is required, and the power supply for the instrument.
