It’s a diesel tank with a height of 2.5 meters; no special requirements – it operates under normal temperature and pressure conditions. It’s just an ordinary oil storage tank. I want to install either a level gauge or a level switch – which one would be more suitable? In terms of price, the budget is around a few hundred yuan
If it is only necessary to display the liquid level on-site, a glass plate or magnetic flip switch will suffice. For remote monitoring, a magnetic flip switch combined with a reed switch for transmission, or a float level gauge, can be used as simple solutions. If high precision is required, a single-flange level gauge is an option; radar and ultrasonic devices are more expensive, so there is no need to use them
A single-level gauge might be sufficient. However, if level measurement was not originally planned, it will be necessary to make openings, use flanged stubs and foot valves, and the installation costs will be high
With a budget of just a few hundred yuan, one can only consider level switches!
The budget is indeed not high. We manufacture level gauges; you can add me on WeChat at 15890954071 (the same number is used for WeChat) so that I can help you with selection and provide a quote for your reference
An immersion level gauge that costs a few hundred yuan will also work
For remote monitoring, buy a simple pressure transmitter to take the pressure reading on-site; in the control system, convert it using the formula H=P/ρg. As for the level detection devices on-site, magnetic flip-type level gauges with a range of 2.5 meters cost just a few hundred yuan, and they are not difficult to use
