What is its function? And is the pressure relief valve really a pressure relief valve? Look at the picture. It comes out of the pressure relief valve and splits into two paths. One path goes through the solenoid valve to the device located at the cylinder outlet (the one above the cylinder in the upper right corner of the diagram; it seems to be a device for rapid pressure release), while the other path goes directly to this device. This device also has a port for connecting to a cylinder. My understanding is that this device enables rapid pressure release in cases of insufficient air pressure or when the solenoid valve is closed. What’s unclear now is the principle behind this thing, its name, and its function

My understanding is that the air used to control the pneumatic valve should come directly from the pressure regulator; in other words, as long as the air supply is normal, the pneumatic valve will direct the air from the solenoid valve into the cylinder. When the solenoid is powered, the cylinder is inflated and the shut-off valve opens. When the solenoid valve loses power, the cylinder releases air and the shut-off valve closes. At the same time, if there is a problem with the gas supply, the air-controlled valve releases pressure from the cylinder directly, and the shut-off valve closes. Do you mean that the solenoid valve controls the pneumatic valve? It seems to be able to achieve the purpose of control as well. The valve shuts down in case of a fault; the spring is on the left side and the cylinder is on the right side. On the right side, there is only one air inlet leading to the left side of the cylinder; the control air circuit consists of a pressure reducing valve, a solenoid valve, and an air circuit directional valve. Power air circuit: pressure reducing valve – air circuit directional valve – cylinder. During normal operation, the valve is fully open; when the solenoid valve is powered, it controls the air passage, and the power air from the air direction control valve enters the cylinder to open the valve. In the event of a fault, the solenoid valve loses power, which cuts off the control air; the air circuit directional valve then changes direction, causing the air on the left side inside the cylinder to be released through the air circuit directional valve. Under the action of the spring, the valve closes quickly.
I analyze that in a normal situation, a pneumatically controlled valve operates properly when the solenoid valve provides electrical control, causing the valve to open. When the solenoid valve loses its power supply, the pneumatically controlled valve has no air source to control it, so it switches the air path to release pressure and the valve closes.
